Introduction

Mindy was born with a hole in her heart and a leaky valve, she required open heart surgery at 8 year old to correct the birth defect, afterward her life expectancy was estimated to be an additional twenty years. She lived life on her own terms and knew how to have a good time. She was proud to have gone against the odds and medical advice and gave birth to a healthy daughter at the age of 30. She began attending Touro College in Brooklyn, earning an Associates Degree and working on her Bachelors at the time of her passing, she intended to study Law.
