    Mildred Wallace Emerson Mildred Wallace Emerson, age 84 of Dry Fork, V.A., passed away July 30, 2022, at her residence. She was born August 26, 1937, in Dry Fork, V.A., to the late George Wallace and the late Virginia Yates Wallace. Mrs. Emerson was married to the late Frank Junior Emerson, who predeceased her in 2018. Mrs. Emerson loved gardening, attending to her flowers and working with her family in the Veggie Shack. She loved and adored her dog, Millie. A special thank you to her care givers, Nicholas and Chasity Emerson, Trish Transou, Pat Price, and Peggy Huff. She is survived by her son, Clarence Emerson and wife Robin; grandchildren, Amanda E. Smotherman and husband Will, Nicholas Emerson and wife Chasity, and Dannielle E. Cooper and husband Zane; great-grandchildren, Nicole Emerson, Cody Emerson, Harley Emerson, Kelsie Emerson, Alexandra Smotherman, Olivia Smotherman, Ella Smotherman, and Kellan Cooper; one sister, Betty Marshall and husband Roy; two brothers, Kenneth Wallace and wife Rachel, and Dennis Wallace and wife Judy. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Pruitt, Virginia Jones, Evelyn Scarce Oakes, and Thelma Wallace; and brothers, Reuben Wallace and George D. Wallace. A funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, V.A., 24540. Interment will be at Highland Burial Park. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Norris Funeral Services.
