    Mildred Mary Jacenich was born on October 8, 1911 to parents William Jacenich and Sophie Skender. She had an older sister Anna "Annie" (1910-1925) as well as younger siblings Rudolph (1913-1991), Angelina, and Emil Jacenich (1917-1966). She was born in Dawson, New Mexico and moved to Butte, Montana at an early age with her family where she attended Holy Savior and Franklin grade schools and the Butte Business College. On October 12, 1931 she married William Joseph "Bill" Worring (1911–1998) in Butte, MT. He worked as an Anaconda Co operating engineer. Together they had two sons Raymond William Worring (1932-1998) and Thomas J Worring (1936-2015). She enjoyed outdoor activities and cooking. Mildred Worring passed away at the age of 85 in a local nursing home in Butte, MT after an extended illness.

    Mildred M. Worring, 85, of Butte died Friday in a local nurs ing home after an extended illness. A native of Dawson, N.M., sh was born on Oct. 8, 1911, to William and Sophie Skender Jacenich. She moved to Butte at an early age with her family, and attended Holy Savior and Franklin grade schools and the Butte Business College. She married William J. Worring on Oct. 12, 1931, in Deer Lodge. He died in 1978 She enjoyed outdoor activities and cooking. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Rita Worring of Butte, and Raymond Worring of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Angie Bertoglio of Butte. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Emil and Rudy Jacenich; and a sister, Ann Jacenich. Time and place of funeral services will be announced by Duggan Dolan Mortuary, which is handling arrangements. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials: Our Lady of the Rockies or charity of donor's choice.

In 1911, in the year that Mildred (Jacenich) Worring was born, the United States Supreme Court broke up Standard Oil in May. John D. Rockefeller established Standard Oil in 1870 and it was the largest oil refinery at the time. The Supreme Court found that Standard Oil of New Jersey (one of the many iterations of Standard Oil) was guilty of "monopolizing the petroleum industry through a series of abusive and anticompetitive actions". The Court broke up the several entities that comprised Standard Oil and they eventually became competing firms.

In June, she had been part of a 3 man crew that flew the Atlantic Ocean but since she had no instrument training, she couldn't fly the plane - she kept the flight log. The North American flight became one of her many "firsts" as a female pilot.
