    From Hazleton PA Standard-Speaker, Fri. Nov. 28, 1969 Maxwell B. Ertwine of Ringtown, manager of the J.J. O'Hearn Inc., Shenandoah, died en route to the Locust Mountain Hospital Wednesday evening. Born in Bloomsburg, he was a son of the late John and Martha Hartzel Ertwine. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion Post and a charter member of the Harry A. Kase Post 289, VFW, both of Ringtown. He was a post commander of the Legion and 25 years held the office of post adjutant and was the present finance officer. Ertwine was a past commander of the 13th District American Legion Schuylkill County, a trustee and president of the Veterans Memorial Home Association, and was affiliated with the Shenandoah Barracks 2122, World War I. He was a past president of the Ringtown Fire Co., Shenandoah Fish, and Game, and the Sommerson Hollow Rod and Gun Clubs. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ringtown.
