(Farley) Griffard was born in December 1882 to Marie Louise (Bequette) Farley and Henry Clay Farley, and had siblings Walter Lewis Farley, William Firdman Farley, Laura (Farley) Boreman, Jasper H. Farley, Abbie Farley, and Mayme Mary (Farley) Wood. She married Joseph Griffard, and had children Louis H. Griffard, Norbert Paul Griffard, Charles Everett Griffard, Helen Griffard, and Mayme Lucille (Griffard) Reid. Mattie Griffard died at age 57 years old on August 13, 1940.
