"Mary ("May") Gilmore, born 27 March 1892", Boston, Massachusetts. Eldest daughter of John. F. Gilmore snr. & Ellen. A. Gilmore (nee Cummins), sister to Ellen.("Ella") C. Gilmore and John ("Jack") Francis Gilmore Jnr.(later to become Judge J.F.Gilmore of the Charlestown District Court.)
Her name and date of birth inscribed on the back of the photo. The family resided on Bunker Hill St., Charlestown, where her father was employed as a ropemaker in the Naval Yard. Family later removed to 24 Lexington St., Charlestown, 60 Chestnut St. Charlestown and 56 High St., Charlestown.
