Mary Ann (Blair) Mansergh of Fitzroy, City of Yarra County, VIC Australia was born circa 1821 in Ireland. She was married to Peter Robert Mansergh, and had children Sophia Margaret (Mansergh) Glenn and John Craven Mansergh. Mary Mansergh died at age 68 years old in 1889 in Fitzroy.

In 1821, in the year that Mary Ann Blair was born, on March 5th, President James Monroe was sworn in for his second term. Because March 4th - the day that the inauguration was supposed to be held - was a Sunday, Monroe moved it to Monday, the 5th. Also, the swearing in was held indoors because of a snowstorm.

In 1844, she was 23 years old when in June and July, the "Great Flood of 1844" occurred on the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers - the largest flood recorded in that area. The population in the area was sparse at the time, though, so the flood didn't have a lot of economic impact. The biggest loss was to the Wyandot Indians - 100 people died from diseases caused by the flood.
