Mary A Rouse was born in 1853, lost her father in 1859, lost her mother after 1860 and was renamed Mary Black. The Black name was taken by all of her siblings and they were split up after 1865. She abandoned her husband and sons in 1875. Any information on her or her siblings would be most appreciated.

Mary A

This picture is of Mary Rouse and perhaps her sister Catherine. Mary was born in 1853 to Benjamin A and Elizabeth Black Rouse, in Branchville, Frankford Twp. Sussex County, New Jersey. She may have emigrated to Ireland about 1875, leaving her husband, Decker A. Roleson (Rolison) and her two sons behind. Zenas Rouse witnessed the marriage of Benjamin and Elizabeth. I have only found one of his name living in the State of New York.

Mary Rouse went by the name Mary A. Black. Catherine Rouse went by the name Catherine Black, sister Martha Matilda Rouse went by the name of Martha Hensley. These girls lost their parents when they were young teens and may have been adopted. There were also brothers, James and John. All born between 1851 and 1859.
