Martha C (Becke) Riess was born on March 14, 1870 in Stephenson County, Illinois United States to Ferdinand Becke Sr. and Auguste Becke, and had siblings Mary E (Becke) Willit, Henry Ferdinand Becke, and Almeda M (Becke) Lyons. She married Adam Riess on February 23, 1893 in Kent, Stephenson County, and had a child George Raymond Riess. Martha Riess died at age 92 years old on September 8, 1962 in Freeport, Stephenson County, and was buried at Lena Burial Park in Lena.
