On December 16th 2019 the following was posted on the Moyock Christian is New Wesleyan website: Mark Carriker is fighting end stage cancer. He recently made the decision to end treatment and being palliative care, and later hospice. Please pray for Mark and his family. We ask God to ease his pain and welcome him home when the time is right. Mark is an incredible young man, and his strength and courage are inspiring to so many. You can follow Mark on his YouTube channel for updates on his condition. On March 21, 2020 friends and families of Mark announced his passing on social media. From his facebook page: We are all lost and heartbroken. On Thursday night (March 19th), our son, Mark Carriker, ended his battle against his very rare and relentless cancer that he fought for over 1.5 years. He passed away as he was surrounded by family at that time. We had been with him all day. He had followed everything his doctors and medical teams at MDAnderson Cancer Center, in Houston, suggested that he do... until November 2019, which is when he decided that he wanted to spend whatever time he had left with his sweet family and without being sick every day from the chemo drugs and other treatments. As you all know, Mark had surgery, radiation, immunotherapy, chemo treatments, and some other treatments, and he had several bad side effects from many of those treatments. He also had many good days along the way. Most of you have followed his cancer journey through this cancer page and/or through his youtube channel "Homemade Everything". Mark was EVERYTHING to us, so it's really hard to believe he is now gone. He will be missed by us and by so many others. He was a wonderful, loving son,, a hilarious and fun brother to his siblings, a dedicated husband to his wife, an awesome daddy to their children, a great friend to so many people, and an inspiration to his facebook and youtube followers from all over the world! He was so brave regarding sharing his cancer journey with the world, and we were all hoping that he would beat the hell out of his cancer. After all his battles, he is now rejoicing in Heaven. His daughter, knowing that her Daddy was now in Heaven, said that she was glad that her Daddy "didn't have a booboo any longer and that he was feeling better". She was concerned about seeing that he left his cell phone behind on the nightstand, as she said he wouldn't be able to call anyone. Well, he may not be calling anyone on his cell phone, but I'm sure he will be watching us all from above.... shaking his head that we are building something wrong or repairing something wrong. He would want for us to do it his way. He's the lucky one, as he is now living in Paradise and is suffering no more. We Love You Mark....... and we will see you again someday. Please keep his sweet family in your prayers. Thank you for all the prayers and for loving our Mark!!! From Instagram: This is Mark’s wife, Jaci. I know everyone has been anxious for an update... Jesus welcomed Mark home with open arms two nights ago on March 19, 2020. I’ll never be able to sum up into a single paragraph everything that Mark was, is, and always will be to me and our wackos. I will say this: he partied till he couldn’t. These pictures were the last selfies he took with our babies only a few days before he died; he was so present and full of life until the end. Rest in peace and joy and eternal happiness with our Savior, my love. I’m so comforted by the fact that I know you’re finally free of pain. You will always be the love of my life. I miss you.

A man with a heart as big as TEXAS
I first came upon Mark's story through his dad's YouTube channel. I followed Mark's cancer journey through his YouTube channel Homemade Everything. He cared deeply for his children and his wife Jaci and joked it was in that ordered. He was deeply religious and helped me to find my way back to my beliefs. He touched everyone with his sense of humor, love of family and his genuine caring nature. It was an honor to know Mark and follow him on his heartbreaking journey. RIP mark. You are missed and will be remembered forever. Signed: one of your "grandma" fans

To the Carriker Family: I have been watching Mark and his lovely wife and beautiful chilldren since the beginning of his channel. The one thing I believe we can all take from this saga is that he is a sterling example of how one can be faced with one's own mortality and remain both BRAVE and FUNNY, a feat of no small acomplishment. I only hope that when it is my time to go, that if given the time I can show just a small amount of the Bravery and Humour he did. It was just a year ago he invited us along with Matt and Dr.Lee to join in their "Best Day Ever" when they were Baptized and I know he is there with GOD and Uncle Floyd to welcome him and show him around. Who could ask for better company? My late father used to say " don't weep because you've lost someone, REJOICE that you had them at all!" Mark....rest easy homie and know your life has touched all of us for the better.
GOD Bless you and your family

A very brave, man with a super sense of humour and an inner strength to really admire. He lived for his family, sharing his journey through cancer with us all. He had visible moments of despair over leaving his wife and adorable children but always that inner strength prevailed. God bless you Mark, you were an inspiration. RIP homie.
