She was married to James Paulin Taig, and had children Elizabeth Jane (Taig) Lockett, Andrew Thomas Taig, James Frederick Taig, William John Taig, and George Oliver Paulin Taig. Margaret Taig died at age 81 years old on October 15, 1939 in Long Gully.
