She had siblings Alice Hilda May Gordon, Rose Lavinia Mary Gordon, William Comyn Gordon, and Francis Ignatius Gordon. She married John Godfrey Cleggett in 1926, and had a child Leonard John Cleggett. Margaret Gordon died at age 75 years old in 1980 in Sydney, NSW.
