Margaret Yearsley father came from outside of Rome, Italy at the age of 16 with his brother Emile, they could not read or write, but he was very smart and started a car repair business on Lincoln St, wilmington, del. called Cursi body and Fender Hospital...and her mother was born in the United States, Her grandmother (her mother's mother) was born in Scafita , Italy none of her family could not read or write when they came to our country....many people who came to America, came here for a better life, Margaret had a sister Antoinette, and a brother Primo Luigi Cursi....Antoinette died when she was 80 years old and Primo died at the age of 65 from cancer.

Margaret was born in Wilmington De. at her home, which many people did at that time... she was raised by her mother's mother Michaline Amato, she lives in Hockessin, Del. and loves to travel especially to Europe , Since her family is from Italy, it's her favorite place to visit.... Her and her late husband Marty Cannon would go to Florida for 3 months Jan. Feb. March...

"in 1953 her father said "Nice Girls do not go into the service, he was from Italy and was protective of his daughters..Margaret and her sister Antoinette. I really wished I would have gone, but at 21 years old I got married....to Charles S. Yearsley her high school sweertheart
Professional Career

Worked for the DuPont for a total of 20 years, she loved Sales, and worked for the Leggs company, and Alberta Culver, and Snelling and Snelling as a counselor.
Personal Life & Family

Margaret, started one of the first "Red Hat groups in Delaware". She also started a Bunco group...loves to decorate, landscape, and travel... especially to Italy.... since this is where her family is from ..

In 1934, in the year that Margaret Mary (Cursi,) Yearsley was born, on November 11th 1933, an extremely strong dust storm hit South Dakota, stripping topsoil. Other strong dust storms had occurred during 1933. Severe droughts continued to hit the Great Plains and the dust storms devastated agricultural production as well as people's' lives for several years. The Roosevelt administration and scientists eventually determined that farming practices had caused the conditions that led to the dust storms and the changes they implemented in farming stopped the Dust Bowl.
