She married Henry Irwin Haughton in 1898, and had children Emily May Haughton, Vera Sinclair Haughton, Ethel Violet Haughton, Elva Marguerite Haughton, Henry Lang Haughton, and Jean Mereton Haughton. Margaret Haughton died at age 88 years old on March 5, 1963 at Ross Smith Ave W, in Frankston.
