    his sister Gladys is my mother she had two sons,with Paul Thomas Shea born in New Haven Connecticut in 1952 and 1953.we were adopted by Martin and Wilhelmina Porretta and grew up inNew London Connecticut.Gladys married Paul in the late 1950s in New Haven Connecticut a year before he passed away.my brother and I met Gladys around 1990 and we did had a relationship. She was pretty funny!

In 1913, in the year that Mandival Moneypenny was born, the Philippine–American War ended for good in June. While the official end of the war was in 1902, fighting continued for several years. An estimated 200,000 to 250,000 total Filipino civilians died and although the U.S. viewed its role as a colonial presence as one of preparing the Philippines for independence, American colonization drastically changed the character off the culture. The Catholic Church was no longer the state religion and English became the primary language of the government.

In 1928, this person was just 15 years old when aviatrix Amelia Earhart, age 31, became the first woman to fly solo across North America and back in August. In June, she had been part of a 3 man crew that flew the Atlantic Ocean but since she had no instrument training, she couldn't fly the plane - she kept the flight log. The North American flight became one of her many "firsts" as a female pilot.
