Introduction

Lycurgus (Walker) Foots was born to Doris Louise Walker in Harris county, Texas. First married to Roy L. Stewart on May 5, 1979, "Kirk" married Henry James Foots on August 21 2011. Henry Foots appeared on the TLC show "My 600 lb Life". "Kirk" and Henry had been in a relationship for thirteen years, during which time they lived together. Eventually, Kirk came to feel that she was a caretaker rather than being in a relationship, and they broke up. Henry still loved her and a few years later, Henry encouraged her to also undergo weight loss surgery. She began losing weight and they got back together. They then married in a small wedding with just friends and relatives. Sadly, Henry passed away just a couple of years after the wedding. Kirk followed in December of 2021, eight years after Henry.

He is credited with creating a reformation in Spartan society, promoting the three Spartan virtues of equality, military fitness, and austerity.
