Louisa Annie (Pitts) Batten of Terang, VIC Australia was born in 1878 in Tower Hill, Moyne Shire County to Mary Ann (Turton) Pitts and Henry Pitts. She had siblings Henry Pitts, Emily Pitts, Charlotte Emily Pitts, Edward James Pitts, Charles Pitts, and Robert George Pitts. She married Herbert John Batten in 1902, and had children Robert Henry Batten, Herbert Samuel Batten, Doris Emily Batten, Linda Mary Batten, Henry Thomas Batten, and Olive Turton Batten. Louisa Batten died at age 65 years old on October 14, 1944 in Terang.
