Louis Frank Cofrancesco was born on April 10, 1927 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut United States to Mary Elizabeth Santillo and Gennaro Cofrancesco, and had siblings Alexander Fred Cofrancesco, Anthony Gennaro Cofrancesco, Pasquale Anthony Cofrancesco, and Vincent James Cofrancesco. He married Dolores Rose Cofrancesco on July 4, 1951 in New Haven, New Haven County, CT, and they were married until Louis' death on December 17, 2014 at Hospital of St Raphael 1294 Chapel St, in New Haven. He had children Ronald James Cofrancesco, Louis Mark Cofrancesco, Ann Marie Dressel, and Peter James Cofrancesco. Louis Cofrancesco was buried on December 20, 2014 in West Haven.

    Louis F. Cofrancesco,87,entered into rest on December 17,2014 in the St. Raphael's Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his bedside. He was the beloved husband of Dolores Cofrancesco. Born in New Haven on April 10,1927,he was the son of the late Gennaro and Maria Salzano Cofrancesco. Louis began his woodworking career in 1946 when he became the youngest journeyman carpenter in his union local at the age of 19. Trained by master carpenter John Manone,Lou co-owned C&M Construction and built over 400 houses. He and Dolores married in 1951. In 1955,he created Union Millwork with his brothers. Lou and Dolores spent their winters in North Port FL between 1987 and 2006. With his great passion for wood crafting,Lou's latest ventures including building,bat and butterfly houses. At the age of 87,he created For the Birds etc. and worked in his shop until his last day. Besides his wife,he is survived by three sons,Ronald,Louis M.,Peter (Mary) Cofrancesco;his daughter Ann Marie (Charles) Dressel;one brother Vincent Cofrancesco;and his grandchildren,Michael,Heather,Louis J.,Julian,Mark,Peter,MaryElise,Tyler,Grace and James. He was predeceased by three brothers,Alex,Tony and Pat Cofrancesco. Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home,424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Saturday morning at 11:20. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Assumption Church,Center Road,Woodbridge at 12 noon. Friends may call the funeral home prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 11:15. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers,contributions may be made to the Bethany Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Corps.,765 Amity Road,Bethany,CT 06524. His plane "The Spirit of St. Louis" was a fabric-covered, single-seat, single-engine "Ryan NYP" high-wing monoplane designed by both Lindbergh and the manufacturer's chief engineer.
