Linda graduated from Gardner (MA) High School in 1957 and from Jackson College (Tufts University) in 1961 with a BA in Math and Russian. She loved horseback riding, skiing, and all water sports. Linda was smart, pretty, and had a tremendous work ethic. She was reserved until you got to know her, and then she bubbled with fun. Linda was taken much too soon!

Linda was born Linda H. Haarala, daughter of Walter and Henrietta Haarala, in Gardner MA. She was a graduate of Gardner High School and Jackson College. In college she majored in math and Russian. She married Paul Vears in the mid-1960s and died in a house fire, in 1982. Linda loved sports including horseback riding, the outdoors, and dancing. She was reserved with strangers, but when you got to know her, she was sweet, funny, and extraordinarily bright.
