Her mother, Ethel, was born in 1880 in Durham Lead, Victoria and she passed away on May 22, 1940 in Melbourne, Victoria. Her parents, Lillian's maternal grandparents, were Hugh Neill (1840-1911) of Balloureach,County Downs, Ireland and Mary Jamieson (1840-1919) of Ireland.
