Lelia Estella (Wenn) Naismith of Alphington, VIC Australia was born in 1887 in Berwick, City of Casey County to Wenn John Geor Wright and Jane Ridgway Mcdonald. She had siblings Elizabeth Wem, Alice Wenn, Arthur Wenn, John Wenn, Clara Wenn, William George Wenn, Albert Wenn, Ethel Wenn, Edwin Leslie Wenn, Richard Wenn, Daisy Adeline Wenn, Percival James Wenn, John Wenn, Alice Wenn, Richard Wenn, Edwin Leslie Wenn, William George Wenn, Albert Wenn, Elizabeth Mcdonald, Emily Jane Wenn, Arthur Wenn, Mary Anne Dunlop, Ethel Wright, and Percival James Wenn. She married Charles Ernest Naismith in 1909, and had children Leonard Charles Naismith, Ronald Herbert Naismith, and Jean Elva Naismith. Lelia Naismith died at age 65 years old on December 7, 1953 in Alphington.

In 1887, in the year that Lelia Estella (Wenn) Naismith was born, on July 1st, the assembly for the supports of the Eiffel Tower began . A wrought iron lattice tower, it was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel - who also contributed to the building of the Statue of Liberty. There are 18,000 pieces in the Eiffel Tower - which had to be built separately and then assembled in place - with rivets - to complete the Tower.

In 1906, at the age of 19 years old, Lelia was alive when abolitionist and suffragette leader Susan B. Anthony died, before women's right to vote nationally was realized (in 1920). She, along with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, founded the National American Woman Suffrage Association which later became the League of Women Voters. She died at the age of 86 of heart failure and pneumonia in her home in New York.
