Miss Mascart Bride of Lee Rothschild In Garden Wedding
In a lovely garden wedding solemnized at high noon Saturday, Miss Mary Charlotte Mascart, daughter of Mrs. Ruby Eason Mascart, McIlhenny road, Redlands, and Lee Rothschild exchanged nuptial vows.
During the ceremony officiated over by the Rev. Dr. Herbert Chandler Ide, the bridal party stood beneath an arch of pink roses. The bride word a hyacinth blue suit, white batiste blouse with lace jabot and navy accessories. A corsage of orchids completed the ensemble. Miss Mascart was given in marriage by her mother-in-law, Austin Webber Strong, F.W. Woodbridge was best man.
Mrs. Mascart, mother of the bride, received the guests at a wedding breakfast immediately following the ceremony. She was gowned in a poudre blue dress with gardenia corsage. Assisting her in receiving were her two daughters, Miss Betty Mascart who wore a pale blue silk jersey and gardenia corsage, and Mrs. Austin Webber Strong gowned in a flowered white print with gardenia corsage.
Centering the breakfast table was an arrangement of white flowers - sweet peas, orange blossoms, rosebuds, and maiden hair fern being used. First slices of the wedding cake were cut by the bride. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Lee Rothschild, Mrs. Ruby Eason Mascart, Miss Betty Mascart, Mr and Mrs. Austin Webber Strong, San Marino, and daughter, Charlotte; Mr. and Mrs. William Hugh Strong and Miss Jean Strong, San Diego; Dr. and Mrs. F. W. Woodbridge, Los Angeles; Dr. and Mrs. RUbern T. Swenson, North Hollywood; Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Voss, Los Angeles; C. R. Sanders, Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Rothschild left following the nuptials for a motor trip to northern California. They will be at home in their Avenue H home, Yucaipa, after June 1.
Mrs. Rothschild, a member of one of the early families of Redlands, was educated in Redlands schools and the University of California at Berkely. Mr. Rothschild, who spends his time at his Yucaipa home and in Los Angeles, is Pacific coast manager of the National Cellulose company.
