    Laverne Andrews Born July 6, 1911, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Died May 8, 1967, in Brentwood, California, USA (liver cancer) Birth Name Laverne Sophie Andrews Ms. Andrews and her sisters, Patty and Maxene, were one of the most successful women's singing groups, with 19 gold records and sales of nearly 100 million copies. The sisters began performing in the early 1930s when the Depression wiped out their father's business. In 1937, the sisters scored their first big hit with 'Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen.' In addition to 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy', their best-known songs included 'Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree' and 'Rum and Coca Cola'. The trio officially broke up after the death of Laverne in 1967, and a suitable replacement could not be found. Family (2) Spouse Louis A. The order of their births is also the order of the length of their lifetimes. Laverne died age 55. Maxene died age 79. Patty died age 94. The Andrews Sisters, Laverne, Maxene, or Patty, none were biological mothers. Maxene adopted two, one daughter, Aleta Ann and one son, Peter. Patty also adopted one daughter, Pam DuBois.

The Andrews Sisters were an American singing group in the 1930s, the 1940s and the 1950s. They were from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their names were LaVerne (July 6, 1911 – May 8, 1967), Maxene (January 3, 1916 – October 21, 1995) and Patty Andrews (February 16, 1918 – January 30, 2013).
