She married Robert Fitzgerald Williams circa 1951 in Chicago, Cook County, IL, and they were married until Robert's death on October 18, 1987 in Tiburon, Marin County, CA. They had a child Robin McLaurin Williams. She would also marry N.N. Smith and they later divorced on October 18, 1987. They had a child McLaurin Smith Williams. Laura Williams died at age 78 years old on September 4, 2001 in Tiburon, Marin County, CA.
