Laura Frances (Shand) Clemenn was born in 1904 to Alexander Shand and Isabelle May (Langlands) Shand, and had siblings John Walter Shand, Irene Florence (Shand) Reeve, Frank Shand, Horace Alexander Shand, John Shand., George Shand, Grace Gertrude (Shand) Scadden, Charlotte Isabel (Shand) Barton, and Ellen (Shand) Winwood. She married Archie Clemenn, and died at age 26 years old in 1931 in Toora, South Gippsland Shire County, VIC Australia. Laura Clemenn was buried at Welshpool Cemetery in Port Welshpool.

The Argus, Melbourne. 23rd June. 1931. CLEMANN.- On the 19th June, at Toora Private Hospital, Laura. dearly loved wife of Archie, beloved daughter of Alex. Shand, of Welshpool, loving sister of Lottie ( Mrs. J. Barton ), Frank, George, Horace, John, Grace, Irene, and Ellen. Aged 27 years. God's finger touched her and she slept.
