    Larry Robert Comas, 68, of Fairmont passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Fairmont on December 16, 1948 a son of the late Rev. Joseph Comas and Almeda Eugene (Lindsey) Comas. Mr. Comas graduated from Fairmont Senior High School. He had worked as a security guard for Security America. Prior to that he had worked at North Pole Ice Company and Helmick Foundry where he served as Secretary Treasure of the United Steel Workers of America. He was a forty year member of the Apostolic Christian Temple. He enjoyed sports especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time. In addition, he coached little league baseball in Marion County. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carol Shingleton Comas; a son, Louis Anthony Comas and his wife Maribeth of Fairmont; his daughter, Jennifer Ann Comas of Fairmont and eleven very special grandchildren, Jeremy Summers, Antwan Comas, Jessica Comas, Justin Comas, Allyson Comas, Emma Comas, Louis Comas II, Braelyn Comas, Skylar Norman, De'sha Davis and Makayla Comas. Also surviving are his brothers, James Comas, Chuck Comas, Tommy Comas all of Fairmont and John Comas of Worthington; a sister, Rhonda Croston and her husband Mitch of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Comas; a sister, Rhonda Katherine Comas; two brothers-in-law, Ebert Shingleton and James Shingleton and his mother-in-law, Collette Smith. Friends and Family may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Tuesday from 1pm to 8pm and on Wednesday from 10am to 11am at the Apostolic Christian Temple 464 Viola Road, Fairmont. The funeral service will be at 11am on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Church with Pastor Leonard Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
