Poff , 66 LOVES PARK - Lanny R. Poff, 66, of Loves Park died Friday, July 2, 2010, in his home surrounded by his family. Born March 17, 1944 in Monroe, Wis., the son of Robert and Thelma (Robieson) Poff. Proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. Retired from TAC in 2009. Survived by his children, Rick, Janet (Carol Nikolaus) and Lynn Poff; grandchildren, Whitney Poff and Jacob Gravelle; brother, Greg (Karen) Poff; sister, Lori (Rick) Ruffner. Predeceased by his parents; beloved dog, Tigger; and many other special four-legged friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Northern Illinois Hospice for their care and support. Service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, with visitation one hour before service. Private burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent to the family at sunsetfhmemgardens.com.
