    In the 1915 New Jersey state census, Lancelot was 19 and single. He was living in Union Hill New Jersey and said that he was a painter. He said that he was born in New Jersey and both parents had been born in Ireland. In the household were Frank and Jennie Smith, Edward J Lally, William Lally, Irene Lally, Francis Lally, Edna Lally, Peter Lally, George Lally, and Cathrine Lally. In the 1925 New York state census, Lancelot was living in New York, New York with Carl and Augusta Conroy as a boarder. On Lancelot's WW2 draft registration card dated, April 25, 1942, Lancelot stated that he was living in Brooklyn New York and didn't have a telephone. His wife, Lillian Sullivan, was his next of kin (living at the same address). He was employed by "child nutrition" on Park Avenue in New York City. He was white, 5 ft 10 inches, 200 pounds, and had hazel eyes, brown hair, and a "ruddy" complexion. Under "distinguishing characteristics": "gun shot wound in upper thigh - left leg".

In 1896, in the year that Lancelot Sullivan was born, in April, the first study on global warming due to CO2 - carbon dioxide - in the atmosphere was published by Swedish scientist Svante Arrhenius. In 1919, he was 23 years old when on January 6th, President Theodore Roosevelt died. Having gone to bed the previous night after being treated for breathing problems, the ex-President died in his sleep from a clot that had traveled to his lungs. He was 60. After a simple service, Roosevelt was buried on a hillside overlooking Oyster Bay.
