    KANA, KRISTINA MARIE 13, of Winchester, CA passed away February 14, 2007. Born September 13, 1993, she was the youngest child of William and Mia Akana. Kristina was born at the U.S. Air Force Academy Hospital in Colorado. Born to a Marine Corps family, Kristina had the opportunity to travel and attend school in a variety of places. She first attended preschool in Cherry Point, NC, followed by 1st thru 3rd grades in Okinawa, Japan. The family's last military assignment was in Ewa Beach, HI where Kristina finished 3rd grade and remained through 6th grade. At that time, the family then decided to move to California where Kristina was surrounded and loved by her many aunts, uncles and cousins. It was here, in Winchester, CA where she attended 7th and 8th grades. Kristina was an ambitious and creative young girl who loved dancing and acting. Full of energy and life, when Kristina was around there was never a dull moment. She has left behind family and friends who loved her dearly. Kristina will be lovingly missed by her father and mother, William and Mia, her sister Anna, and her brother William. - The Press-Enterprise February 18th 2007
