Duffy was at high risk of suicide. . .
. . .after rape ordeal and credits her therapist's help
Duffy said she was a "high risk of suicide in the aftermath" of the rape and abduction
Duffy was left at high risk of suicidal after she was drugged, raped and kidnapped.
It's the first time the singer, 35, has spoken about her "dark secret" to the world in an honest blog post.
The starlet confessed she was at a "high risk of suicide in the aftermath" of the frightening ordeal.
It was on her therapist's pink sofa in her company in her huge library that the singer was first finally able to share her terrible tale with another person.
Duffy thanked her therapist for helping her cope with her heartache.
She said: "Without her I may not have made it through. I was high risk of suicide in the aftermath."
In her own words, the songstress recalled the heartbreaking ordeal which she endured for four weeks.
She said: "It was my birthday, I was drugged at a restaurant, I was drugged then for four weeks and travelled to a foreign country.
"I can’t remember getting on the plane and came round in the back of a travelling vehicle. I was put into a hotel room and the perpetrator returned and raped me.
"I remember the pain and trying to stay conscious in the room after it happened. I was stuck with him for another day, he didn’t look at me, I was to walk behind him, I was somewhat conscious and withdrawn. I could have been disposed of by him."
The Welsh beauty recalled being too frightened to run away at first and made the flight back to the UK with the perpretrator.
She was then held captive in her own home.
But the perpetrator's threats to kill her gave her the courage to flee for her life and hide away from him.
Just weeks ago, Duffy was overwhelmed with love and support with fans when she talked about the rape and abduction for the first time.
The singer made a comeback to the spotlight to tell fans her story.
