Knolt Wiggins of Carmen, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma was born on September 20, 1897. They was married to Alice A Wiggins, and had children Carl Wayne Wiggins, Elma B. Riggs, and Wilmina P. Burkes. Knolt Wiggins died at age 83 years old in March 1981.

In 1897, in the year that Knolt Wiggins was born, in the January 22nd issue of "Engineering", the word "computer" was first used to refer to a mechanical calculation device. Previously - since the 17th century - the term computer meant "one who computes" and referred to human beings who worked with numbers.

In 1900, Knolt was merely 3 years old when the German physicist Max Planck formulated an energy theory, postulating the existence of "quanta," which lays the groundwork for the quantum theory of modern physics. In December, he introduced a paper on the Planck postulate which stated that E=hv - the energy of a photon is proportional to its frequency times a constant. Planck won a Nobel Prize in 1918 for his work in theoretical Physics.
