Kenneth Raymond LaVere, 72, of Wales Township, died Saturday, April 29, 2023. He was born May 1, 1950 in Port Huron to the late Neil and Helen LaVere. Kenneth liked horses and spending time with his grandchildren and was very proud to meet his great grandson. He is survived by his son, William (Stephanie) LaVere; five grandchildren, Ariel (Blake) Allred, Alexander and Andrew LaVere, Abby LaVere (Andrew Kell) and Lily LaVere; great grandson, Anthony Kell; sister, Wanda Lange; brother, Gary LaVere; two sisters-in-law, Rose and Marsha LaVere; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda LaVere; brothers, Terry and Richard “Dick” LaVere; sister, Peggy (James) Richards; sister-in-law, Kimberly LaVere; and brother-in-law, Robert Lange. Private family services have been held. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Gratiot. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
