Katherine Stachyra
Katherine Stachyra was my Grandmother In Law. She immigrated from Russia/ Poland. I don't know her Maiden name. She married Fred Stachyra. They made their home on the border between Detroit and Hamtramck, MI.
They had 2 sons, Joseph and Edward Stachyra. The sons both ended up changing their last names to Stacey. They were musicians and this name change made it easier to find them to book gigs in the Detroit area. Edward Stacey passed away in April 1996. He had a wife Irene Mirek Stacey and 3 children, Evelyn, Gary & Gail.

Hi! I just happened to be browsing through to find some family history, and I found this page! My grandfather on my dad's side was Joseph Stacey, so Katherine was my great grandmother. Joseph and his wife, Frances, had 3 sons named Ron, Robert, and Ray. Robert was my father, and I also have a brother, who's name is also Robert. We are both currently living in Colorado. I've been curious about other family I may have and would love to know more!
