Jill Rountree Funeral services for longtime Owasso resident Jill Rountree, 49, will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2008 at Sheridan Road Baptist Church in Tulsa. Officiates for the service include Pastor John Plum and Dr. Glenn Plum. Serving as casket bearers will be Robert Walker, John Sullivan, Pig Bynum, Richard Bales, John Cash and Vernon Dooley. Committal services and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery's. Jill was born April 4, 1958, to Joseph Robert and Phoebe Carlene (Brooks) Pravnan in Tulsa. She died Monday, March 31, 2008. She was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the East Central High School class of 1976. She then attended Tulsa Junior College. She married Brooks Rountree on Jan. 18, 1980 in Tulsa. She spent more than 28 years employed with ONEOK as a property tax accountant. She was a faithful member of Sheridan Road Baptist Church, where she also enjoyed pitching for the church softball team. Jill enjoyed watching all types of sporting events, playing softball and shopping with her girls and sisters. Survivors include her husband of more than 27 years, Brooks Rountree; two daughters, Katie Michelle Rountree and Rachel Marie Rountree, all of the home; two sisters, Vicki Sherin and husband, Ken, and Gaye Gardner and husband, Grant, all of Owasso; nephews, Daymon and Dustin Sherin and Gates and Graham Gardner; and her father, Bob Pravnan of Claremore. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phoebe Pravnan, on Oct. 10, 1995. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Adams Fund in memory of Jill Rountree, c/o the Baptist Village of Owasso, 7310 N. 127th E. Ave., Owasso, Okla., 74055.
