    Katharine Ann Curtiss, who went by Kathy, was married to her husband Alan and was a production coordinator for many popular films. She was rather popular in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. She has a number of film credits to her name (also listed below) including The Monster Squad, Blind Date, 2010, Dead Poets Society, Planes Trains & Automobiles and others. The 2002 film Dragonfly with Kevin Costner was dedicated to her memory. Her husband Alan was the first assistant director for the movie Dragonfly. In addition to the "In memory of" at the end of the film Dragonfly, the real estate company named on the 'for sale' sign in front of the house in the movie was also named after her.     CURTISS, Katharine Ann -- Kathy died May 18,after a long illness, at her home in Manhattan Beach CA. She was 44. She was a production executive in the motion picture industry and had been involved in a number of films made in San Francisco. She had many friends and colleagues in the Bay Area. Kathy was born in Los Angeles and attended schools in Orange County. She is survived by her husband Alan; by her father and mother-in-law William H. and Jean M. Curtiss; by her brother and sister-in-law William H. and Marta Curtiss; and by her nephew and niece Will and Liza; and by her sister and brother, Jeanine and Steven Silson. Memorial gifts should be sent to Buck/Cardinal Club, Arrillaga Family Sports Center, Stanford University, Stanford CA. 94305-6150 designated for the Katharine Curtiss Memorial Fund; or to a charity of choice. - The San Francisco Gate, June 7th 2001

Katharine was involved in so many great movies from back in the 80s.. In fact, Monster Squad was one of my favorites growing up. I think it's awesome that she was given an 'in memory of' for Dragonfly in particular.
