Kate Matson (Broome) Filmer was born in 1863 in Buninyong, VIC Australia to Charlotte Elizabeth (Humphrey) Broome, and had siblings Rose Ella (Broome) Balzer, Thomas Hilder Broome, Arthur Ernest Saxby Broome, Charles Broome, Alice Mary Broome, Lilian Broome, Mary Dorothea (Broome) Filmer, Mabel (Broome) Filmer, Ada Adelaide (Broome) Walker, Frederick Humphrey Broome, and Sydney Thomas Broome. Kate Filmer married Edgar Stephen Filmer, and died at age 82 years old in 1945 in Bairnsdale, East Gippsland Shire County.
