    I worked with Justine on the previous night at Keller... She was fun to be around and a great people person. I had my room mates Ozzy tape to listen to while it was quiet and Justine woke him up the next morning to borrow it herself.... The following night I worked with someone else and as 7a.m. shift change occurred, SFC Hernandez informed us of the fatal car wreck. She was a good friend and the person I was back then still misses her very much....

My name is Dan Freeman. I met Justine 30 years ago and after all of these years I can say I loved her as much as anyone I have ever met in my life. There is rarely a day that goes by when I don't think of her and of the moments we shared together. I drove this old baby blue Rambler with a boom box in the back seat and remember riding around Colorado Springs and going to Denver where I lived with her having some of the best times of my life. I have never laughed so often and so hard as I did with her. I remember being with her and her sister Stacy the night before she left for the Army and I remember how much Justine and Stacy loved one another. I remember how saying goodbye that night was one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life. I remember sending letters to her when she was in the Army and remember her letters to me. Just today at lunch a song came on the radio that we really liked and I remember she quoted the song in one of her letters to me. I remember getting the news from her sister and remember crying my eyes out for days and most of my tears were not for my loss but were for the things she would never see or do or be or experience. Justine had more life in her than anyone I have ever met and her spirit is something I carry in my heart with me every single day. Because of her I don't say no to new experiences that come my way. Because of her I don't let days drift by without my attention. Because of her I can summon up a passion for things most people just don't see. I want to thank whoever put this together for her. I have always wanted to express these thoughts about her and just let anyone who remembers me and that time in life that we shared long ago will never be forgotten. As long as I live I will never forget her or our time together.

As Justine's little sister, I just wanted to thank the individual who shared a story. I came across this today and it has warmed my heart to know that she is remembered and was cared for.
