Julia Long was bornJuly 19,1899 in Canandaigua New York to John Long 1866-1910 and Julia (Hanley) Long.1868-1919.
Julia Long married John James McCarthy Sr. 11 Apr 1921 in Geneva New York at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church by Monsignor Joseph W.Hendricks. She was 21 at the time. John James McCarthySr was 26 at the time and his professiona was listed as machinist. He later went to work for the Post Office.
Julia (Long)McCarthy and John James McCarthy Sr. had two children.
1)John James McCarthy Jr 1921-1996
Married Blanche Jones 1918-1996
They had 3 daughters
2)Genevieve (McCarthy) Petrosino. 1923-1972.
Married Anthony Joseph Petrosino 1824-1985
No children
Julia (Long)McCarthy and John James McCarthy divorced.
Julia (Long) McCarthy suffered burns in a fire at the Kirkwood Hotel in Geneva New York in May 1946.She died in September 1946 of her injuries.
