Juanita Helen (Parker) Moore 1906 - 2003

Juanita Helen (Parker) Moore was born on April 14, 1906 to Jessie Rushing Parker and William Franklin Parker, and had siblings Mae L. Wyatt, WILMA ALEXANDER, Thomas Parker, Veta Earline (Parker) Evans, William Parker, and Alton B. Parker. She married Lee Warren Moore, and they were married until Lee's death on May 1, 1966. She would also marry Radney Harmon “Tack” Nail, and they were married until Radney's death on February 21, 1951. They had a child Billy R. “Buddy” Nail. Juanita Moore died at age 97 years old on August 23, 2003 in Lubbock, Texas United States, and was buried at Roby Cemetery in Roby, Fisher County.

In 1934, when she was 28 years old, on July 22nd, gangster John Dillinger was killed in Chicago. His gang had robbed banks and police stations, among other charges, and he was being hunted by J. Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI - although many in the public saw him as a "Robin Hood". A madam from a brothel in which he was hiding became an informer for the FBI and, after a shootout with FBI agents, Dillinger was shot and died.
