Joseph Valentine Riley 1887 - 1955

Joseph Valentine Riley was born in 1887 to Amy Julia Riley ( Jones and John James George Riley, and had siblings Cyril Guy Riley, Deny Oscar Riley, Emma Julia Dewar ( Riley, Ernest George Riley, Iris Kathleen Butler ( Riley, and Julius Pablo "Tony" Riley. He married Ellen Maud "Nell" Riley ( Hatch, and had children Beryl Mildred Riley, Mabel Riley, Gwen Riley, Arthur Riley, and Jean Riley. Joseph Riley died at age 67 years old on June 21, 1955, and was buried at GinGin Cemetery in Gingin, Shire of Gingin County, WA Australia.

  • Introduction

    The Midlands Advertiser, Moora. Friday 8th May, 1914. WEDDING BELLS. RILEY - HATCH. On Friday, May 1st, the wedding of Mr. J. V. Riley, of Gingin, and Miss Ellen Maude ( Nell ) Hatch, was celebrated at the residence of the brides father, Moora, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. P. H. Taylor. The bride who was given away by her father, looked charming in ivory silk crepe de chine over white silk, trimmed with silk embroided and fine cream net. She was attended by two bridesmaids - Miss Hatch, sister of the bride, and Miss Iris Riley, sister of the bridegroom. Mr. Albert Butler acted as best man.
