Joseph Duffety was born in 1830 in Bristol City County, England United Kingdom to Robert Duffety and Ann (Lott) Duffety, and had siblings Richard Duffety, Alfred Duffety, Mary Ann (Duffety) Jenkins, William Henry Duffety, Martha Duffety, and Alfred Duffety. He married Elizabeth (Beer) Duffety in 1855 in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire County, Wales, and had children Richard Duffety, Henry Duffety, Mary Ann Duffety, Eliza Ann Duffety, Hester Ann (Duffety) Spear, and Elizabeth Ann Duffety. Joseph Duffety died at age 71 years old in 1901 in Bristol, Bristol City County, England.
