He had siblings Mary Ann (Neill) Armstrong, Isabella Neill, Ethel Elizabeth Margaret Neill, Martha Jane Neill, William Neill, and Robert Alexander Neill. John Neill died at age 82 years old in 1943 in Ballarat.
