    I am trying to find my mothers birth Father. My mother was born Nov 15, 1938 to John M Ocheltree 20 years old at that time he lived in Strafford City of Dover N.H trade profession he was a laborer. Mother's madien Name was Allison Grace Volg her age at time of birth 17 states on birth Certificate that she was a housewife. My mother was given the name on BC Jean Allison Ocheltree. Trying to locate that side of the family to connect with.

In 1919, in the year that John M Ocheltree was born, the "Black Sox Scandal" rocked baseball fans during the World Series. Eight players on the Chicago White Sox were accused of throwing the World Series, thus allowing the Cincinnati Reds to win, and making money off of the losses. All of the players were found not guilty by a jury but the fallout lasted for decades. The players were banned from baseball even though they were found innocent.
