He had siblings Nellie Dorothea Wylie, Walter Taylor Wylie, Camella Irene Wylie, Keith Clifton Wylie, Ronald Victor Wylie, and Alice Jean (Wylie) Moore. John Wylie married Eileen Frances Holmes in 1925, and died at age 73 years old on May 15, 1971 in Cheltenham.
