    My family lives at the same house in Finland where John was born. John's original Finnish name was Janne. Johns father was married with my fathers grandmother after John mother was died. So me and John are not relatives. The story told nobady heard anything about him after he left to USA in 1913.

In 1887, in the year that John Kaipio was born, on January 20th, the US Senate gave the US Navy the right to lease Pearl Harbor as a naval base. Pearl Harbor is on the island of Oahu, a part of the Hawaiian Islands. The Navy was given direction to maintain "a coaling and repair station" at the harbor.
