    The Auckland Star. August 1942. DEATH OF MR. KENNERLEY. Regret will ne felt in trotting circles at the death of Mr. J. J. Kennerley, which occurred yesterday. Born in New Zealand, Mr. Kennerley spent many years in Australia, but returned to New Zealand in 1921, settling in Christchurch, where he soon established himself as one of the leading trainers of trotting horses in the Dominion. Among the horses he trained were Great Bingen, Peter Bingen, Logan Chief, Native Chief, Acron and Pedro Pronto. A few years ago Mr. Kennerley came to Auckland and continued training horses until ill-health caused him to retire. The Age, Melbourne, August 1943. KENNERLEY.- On August 9, at Auckland, John Joseph, loved father of John, Rita, Eric, Edgar, Ray ( overseas), Mavis. Aged 63 years.
