John Edmond Hill: This is my great grandfather who was born Jun 18 1846 in Fl and died Aug 21 1911. He married Orpha Lee (Holloway) on Mar. 3 1867. They had 13 children, one of which is my grandmother Amanda Melvina Hill.

Prohibition "wets"
Prohibition "wets"
A coalition of the Prohibition "wets" (wet block) on the steps of the Capitol. The wets were those who opposed Prohibition - the "drys" were those who were for it. This is some of the 61 wet members who were meeting to draft proposed legislation. In the center is Rep. John Phillip Hill, chairman of the wet block.
