    Son of Lee Palmer born July 17, 1797 in Richfield, Stanly Co., NC and Lucy Ora Stone, who were married in 1815 in NC and divorced in 1829 in Carroll Co., TN. Lee Palmer is believed to have been buried in Palmer's Shelter Methodist Church Cemetery, Carroll Co. TN. Brother: Jesse (or Joshua) Tillman Palmer Half siblings include William Green Palmer born abt 1832, Ruth Palmer born 1835, Sarah Palmer born 1841. Paternal grandparents: Demarcus Palmer born March 13, 1770 in Westchester Co. NY and Sally Hearne. Married Eliza Jane Terry. Children of the union include William S. (killed in the Civil War at Shiloh, Tennessee, April 1862), Daniel Lee, Martha, Matthew Covington, John Quitman, Mary Ann, Julia Ann, Hannah, John Houston, Jr., and James. Possibly a daughter 1852-1857 buried at Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery, Pittsboro, MS.
