John Goss. was born in 1868 to Bernard Goss and Catherine Victoria (Lillis) Goss, and had siblings James Anthony Goss, Catherine (Goss) Parnell, Richard Goss, Michael Goss, Mary Goss, Margaret Goss, Bernard Goss Jr, William Goss, Patrick Goss, and Brigid Goss. He married Frances (McFarlane) Goss, and had children Ursula Mary Goss, Rev. Gerald Patrick Goss, Mary Goss, Sheila Goss ( Sister M. Cecilia ), Carmel Goss, William Maurice Goss, Richard Goss, Ellen "Nellie" (Goss) Ryan, Kathleen Goss, Nancy (Goss) O'Laughlin, Winifred (Goss) Anderson, Thomas Goss, Clare Goss, Joan Goss, Leslie Goss, and John Francis Goss. John Goss. died at age 80 years old on January 9, 1949 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Moreland, VIC Australia, and was buried at Epping Cemetery in Epping, Whittlesea City County.
