Introduction

I only know what a cousin in Texas told me and that I already list here with another older email address. I am his great great grand daughter and I have about 300 cousins descended from him!!! He had 16 children His father was Daniel Boiles. He was NOT an only child as suggested by this site! (some bad info here)

He had 16 children! Most of them are listed at Arkansas Pioneer families. The oldest one was my grandpa James Lafette Boiles.

Blue Norther

John was hoeing cotton in his field with his son in law when a blue norther came down and they both caught pneumonia and died from it. This is so sad but a blue norther in Texas can be dangerous. He had 16 children near Lake Whitney.

John Gideon Boiles

Old photo of John Gideon Boiles and his second wife Elmira Cornett. He lived to be 93 and caught pneumonia while caring for the cotton crop in TX! His son in law also caught pneumonia at the same time that he did and died too. His first wife was Mary Ann Cook.
